M. Wright is a Brooklyn-based painter and poet. He was the winner of ArtWords and the Atlantis Award, a finalist for Best of the Net, and was nominated for Pushcart Prize. Living with OCD, Wright examines compulsive repetition, rituals, and the tension between the surreal, the existential, and the cartoon in everyday life. M. Wright is currently working on a series of “found-object” cartoon paintings with canvases sourced from stoop freebies along his studio commute.
